On May 21, 2026, we celebrated the topping-out ceremony together at Tripsdrill. With the completion of the structural work for the new themed dining area and the reception building with wellness area, the major “Hofgut Waldruh” project has reached an important milestone—and the largest single investment in Tripsdrill’s nearly 100-year history is taking shape before our eyes.
About the Project
The project represents the largest single investment in Tripsdrill’s nearly 100-year history. Spanning approximately 12,000 m² between Wildparadies and Natur-Resort, the development includes a year-round dining experience modeled after a historic farm, a new reception building with a wellness area and swimming pool, as well as storage and technical facilities. The structural work for the two main buildings is complete—interior construction is already in full swing.
What is being created here is anything but standard. The roof structure combines maximum structural performance with aesthetic appeal. Over 100,000 handmade old tiles—plum-shaped tiles salvaged from demolished buildings—cover the roofs. Instead of new production, Tripsdrill relies on authentic reuse. An approach we share.
Current Status
Since April 2025, 4,300 m³ of concrete has been poured—equivalent to more than 600 concrete mix deliveries. Approximately 480 tons of steel have been used. An average of 65 tradespeople from various disciplines work on the construction site every day to ensure everything proceeds according to plan.
“What is being built here is anything but standard. We are experiencing excellent collaboration with the client, which challenges and motivates us in equal measure,” says Manuel Dietz, managing partner of LIST Bau Stuttgart, which is responsible for project and construction management.
The opening is scheduled for spring 2027. We’re on board—and look forward to completing this project.
