LIST stands for innovation, team spirit, and interdisciplinary collaboration—across all project phases. With the construction site internship, we have created an internal format that offers employees from all areas the opportunity to experience a day on a construction site—accompanied by experienced colleagues on site.
What happens during a work shadowing experience?
Participants experience everyday life on the construction site up close. Depending on the status of the project, they can observe processes, understand technical challenges, and talk to those involved in the execution. Whether looking at plans and digital tools or tackling small tasks, the focus is on the experience.
The format is open-ended but professionally supervised. The site manager or an assigned person guides participants through the day, explains processes, and is available to answer questions.
"The internship has given me a better understanding of the reality on site – and of the people who bring the construction site to life." – Johanna Baumann, Business Coach at LIST
A format with a future.
The construction site internship was launched in early 2025 as an internal pilot project with the aim of strengthening knowledge transfer between departments and promoting mutual understanding. In the future, it will be offered regularly at various locations and in different construction phases. This will allow LIST to be experienced as a learning organization that focuses on proximity, exchange, and team spirit.
