An energy simulation mathematically models a building’s thermal and energy performance before the first walls are even erected. It answers questions that could become costly later on: Will it get too hot in the summer? Is there enough natural light? Can the building systems handle the load? Is a photovoltaic system worth the investment?
During the early design phase, comfort and operating costs can be managed with minimal effort. Once construction begins, any changes result in costly retrofits.
