GARBE Industrial Quarter Langenhagen
In a central location near Hannover-Langenhagen International Airport, LIST Construction has completed a state-of-the-art turnkey property: the GARBE IndustrialQuarter.
The new building, which covers approximately 16,500 square meters, was completed in ten months and consists of four units, each with 200 square meters of office space.
A distinctive feature is the façade: a curtain wall façade that appears more attractive than conventional façades thanks to wooden elements and a skylight strip. Wood, an alternative building material, was used for the roof structure. The clear height measured eight meters to the lower edge of the glued laminated timber beams. In terms of sustainability, the project also aimed for a DGNB Gold certification.
LIST Construction handled the submission of the building permit application and relied on the BIM method throughout the entire project. LIST’s in-house engineering firm was responsible for the architectural planning as well as the entire building services engineering for the property.
