Circularity Assessment of the Building Structure and MEP Office in München
As part of the project, LIST Eco was commissioned to create the digital building resource passport and to conduct a circularity assessment of the architectural and structural design as well as the MEP (building services) based on post-modeled BIM models.
It is particularly noteworthy that this is the first project in Germany in which MEP was comprehensively incorporated into the circularity assessment.
In addition, the dismantlability of the components was assessed using the Madaster Dismantlability Index (DI). As part of this process, joining techniques and installation scenarios, among other factors, were recorded, mapped within the BIM model, and documented alongside the material inventory, which contains all component and material information.
As part of variant studies, potential optimization measures were analyzed—such as the use of recycled concrete. Its impact on overall circularity could be assessed even before construction began. This made it possible to meet and demonstrate compliance with key minimum requirements in line with the EU Taxonomy’s “Circular Economy” conservation objective. Finally, the digital building resource passport was populated with the determined assessment results in accordance with DGNB guidelines.
Services:
- Creation of a BIM Model for the New Construction
- Model creation for MEP (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security)
- Circularity assessments and digital building resource passport
- Circularity assessment of materials using the Madaster Circularity Indicator (MZI) for MEP (HLSK)
- Assessment of demolition effort using the Madaster Detachability Index for MEP (HLSK)
- Creation of a digital building resource passport in accordance with DGNB standards using Madaster, including MEP (HLSK)
