On May 21, 2026, we celebrated the topping-out ceremony together at Tripsdrill. With the completion of the structural work for the new experiential dining facility and the reception building with wellness area, the major “Hofgut Waldruh” project has reached an important milestone—and the largest single investment in Tripsdrill’s nearly 100-year history is visibly taking shape.
About the Project
The project represents the largest single investment in Tripsdrill’s nearly 100-year history. Spanning approximately 12,000 m² between Wildparadies and Natur-Resort, the project includes a year-round dining experience modeled after a historic farm, a new reception building with a wellness area and swimming pool, as well as storage and technical facilities. The structural work on the two main buildings is complete—interior construction is already in full swing.
What is being built here is anything but standard. The roof structure combines exceptional structural performance with aesthetic appeal. Over 100,000 handmade antique roof tiles—plain clay tiles salvaged from demolished buildings—cover the roofs. Instead of manufacturing new tiles, Tripsdrill is committed to authentic reuse. An approach we share.
Current Status
Since April 2025, 4,300 m³ of concrete has been poured—equivalent to more than 600 concrete mix deliveries. Approximately 480 metric tons of steel have been used. On average, 65 tradespeople from various trades work on the construction site every day to ensure that everything proceeds according to plan.
“What’s being built here is anything but standard. We’re experiencing excellent collaboration with the client, which both challenges and motivates us,” says Manuel Dietz, managing partner of LIST Bau Stuttgart, the firm responsible for project and construction management.
The opening is scheduled for spring 2027. We’re part of it—and look forward to completing this project.
