LIST stands for innovation, team spirit, and interdisciplinary collaboration—across all project phases. With our construction site shadowing program, we’ve launched an internal initiative that gives employees from all departments the opportunity to spend a day on a construction site—accompanied by experienced colleagues on-site.
What happens during a job shadowing experience?
Participants get an up-close look at everyday life on a construction site. Depending on the project’s status, they can observe workflows, gain insight into technical challenges, and interact with those involved in the construction process. Whether they’re reviewing plans and digital tools or pitching in with small tasks—the focus is on the experience.
The format is open-ended but professionally guided. The site manager or a designated representative leads participants through the day, explains processes, and is available to answer questions.
“Through this site visit, I’ve gained a better understanding of the reality on-site—and of the people who bring the construction site to life.” —Johanna Baumann, Business Coach at LIST
A format with a bright future.
The construction site internship program was launched in early 2025 as an internal pilot project with the goal of strengthening knowledge transfer between departments and fostering mutual understanding. In the future, it will be offered regularly at various locations and during different phases of construction. This allows LIST to be experienced as a learning organization where closeness, collaboration, and team spirit take center stage.
