Office and Commercial Building Hanover Vahrenwald
An innovative cutter soil mixing method has been used for excavation shoring.
In Vahrenwald-List, Hannover’s most populous district, LIST Construction has completed a turnkey office and retail building. The result is a complex spanning approximately 25,000 square meters, featuring five above-ground floors and two underground parking levels, which will help revitalize the neighborhood. The property was developed by LIST Develop in close collaboration with the City of Hannover.
On the ground floor, dm and REWE have each opened a store. Design Offices, a provider of coworking spaces, moved into a total of 6,700 square meters, extending from the ground floor up to the second floor. The third and fourth floors are occupied by the budget hotel chain B&B Hotels, which offers guests just under 150 rooms.
In the basement, two underground parking garages with a total of approximately 180 parking spaces were constructed. To prevent groundwater from seeping in, LIST Bau used the innovative cutter soil mixing method to construct the excavation walls. The excavation walls extend approximately 22 meters deep. LIST Ingenieure was responsible for the building services engineering.
