Logistics Center Oberhausen
A new logistics center covering approximately 20,000 square meters was built in the industrial park in Oberhausen. Verdion commissioned LIST Bau to carry out the construction of the new, turnkey facility.
The property was built on a brownfield site in the industrial area of Oberhausen. It also features 2,045 square meters of mezzanine space and 544 square meters of office space. The important aspect of sustainability was reinforced by the goal of achieving DGNB Gold certification. In addition, there is a unique feature that was taken into account during construction: Because the property was built on a brownfield site, extensive contaminated soil was encountered during excavation. Accordingly, LIST Construction closely involved the civil engineering contractor from an early stage. LIST’s in-house engineering firm, LIST Ingenieure, was responsible for all architectural and MEP planning for this project. The planning process was fully supported by the BIM method.
