Carbon Due Diligence Premium Existing mixed-use property in Plochingen
In the spring of 2024, Pfeiffer & May Stuttgart KG commissioned LIST Eco to conduct a Carbon Due Diligence Premium for an existing mixed-use building in Plochingen.
This building includes a logistics/warehouse area constructed using lightweight Isopan panels with a reinforced concrete foundation, as well as an exhibition area built using solid concrete sandwich panels.
In addition to the services included in the CDD Light package, the Premium package also includes an energy demand calculation and a site inspection.
At the time the project was underway, the existing property in Plochingen did not pose an immediate economic risk, as the current stranding date was set for 2025. By implementing all technical optimization measures (V1 through V3 in combination), the client can postpone the stranding date to 2038. To become climate-neutral by 2045 (Germany) or 2050 (EU), one should also consider long-term structural measures (e.g., facade retrofitting) as well as the use of green electricity.
