The ink is dry: At Detmold City Hall, an important milestone has been reached in the development of the mixed-use building—featuring retail, office, residential, and dining spaces—at the corner of Hornsche Straße and Lange Straße near Hornschen Tor.
LIST has signed a turnkey contract with the City of Detmold and is developing a mixed-use property comprising retail, office, restaurant, and residential buildings at Hornschen Tor. Construction projects of this nature, with their specific requirements in terms of technology, construction methods, and timing, align perfectly with LIST’s expertise.
Planning and construction come from a single source. We can contribute our structural engineering expertise as early as the initial planning phases, leverage synergies, and respond flexibly to requirements. This way, the city’s project coordinator only has to coordinate with one company. Short decision-making paths, a shared understanding of quality and deadlines, and optimal coordination between development and execution. This makes us not only faster but also more reliable.
The property combines retail, office, and residential uses. This creates a vibrant hub in the city center while simultaneously launching the further development of the neighborhood.
Completion of the entire building is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2028 at the latest. Individual sections will go into operation earlier.
TÜV Süd has been awarded the contract for quality assurance of the entire construction project.
