The ink is dry: An important milestone has been reached at Detmold City Hall toward the completion of the mixed-use building—featuring retail, office, residential, and dining spaces—at the corner of Hornsche Straße and Lange Straße at Hornschen Tor.
LIST has signed a so-called “turnkey contractor” agreement with the City of Detmold and is developing a mixed-use property consisting of retail, office, restaurant, and residential buildings at Hornschen Tor. Construction projects of this kind—with their specific requirements for technology, construction methods, and timing—align perfectly with LIST’s expertise.
Planning and construction come from a single source. We can contribute our structural engineering expertise as early as the initial planning phases, leverage synergies, and respond flexibly to requirements. This means the city’s project coordinator only has to coordinate with one company. Short decision-making paths, a shared understanding of quality and deadlines, and optimal coordination between development and execution—this makes us not only faster but also more reliable.
The property combines retail, office, and residential uses. This creates a vibrant entrance to the city center while simultaneously kickstarting the further development of the neighborhood.
Completion of the entire building is scheduled for no later than the fourth quarter of 2028. Individual sections will go into operation before then.
TÜV Süd has been awarded the contract for quality assurance of the entire construction project.
